Introduction

The Opportunity

The dental industry is evolving, but many clinics and professionals still rely on traditional tools and workflows, often leading to inefficiencies, patient discomfort, and administrative burdens. AI offers a unique opportunity to revolutionize dentistry, from streamlining operations to enhancing patient care.

In this case study, I apply design thinking to uncover challenges faced by dentists and explore how AI-powered solutions can create smarter, more effective, and patient-friendly experiences. By blending empathy, research, and ideation, I identify design opportunities that reimagine what dental care could look like in the near future.

Over 75% of consumers are concerned about misinformation from AI.

TransferWise

Overview

This is a personal development project to design a new service experience for an existing mobile app, TransferWise. TransferWise is a money transfer service that focuses on allowing people to send and receive money abroad cheaper and faster.

Goal

The goal is to design new service experience suggestions in order to enhance the current experience with more tailored services for the users including testing and implementing it. After looking at different adoption levels among different customer profiles, I then decided to focus on enhancing the experience of the onboarding flow. As the onboarding process is a very important stage that helps build confidence and trust while keeping the new users engaged.

Holistic Approach

Besides designing a solution, I also want to try managing the project from a business point of view. So I include a design process with defined design cycles, steps, estimated times, people involved, research needs, and techniques. Specifying details and needs for the project helps me visualize the overall process of what it takes to make changes happen.
